Since 1975 Iroquois Tennis Club has been a friendly community tennis club which is open to junior, adult, senior and family tennis enthusiasts. Members consist of beginners to competitive players. The club is located within walking distance of Woodside Square (Finch and McCowan) and Chartwell Plaza (Brimley and Huntingwood). The tennis courts and clubhouse are within the Iroquois Park, which has a parking lot, a playground and a baseball diamond. The tennis club has 3 hard courts and a clubhouse with washrooms and kitchen facilities. The club information and events can be found on the bulletin board outside the clubhouse during the summer season. In tennis season, members actively participate in House League, Sunday morning socials and round robins, or enjoy some good tennis with fellow member friends, when courts are not being used for organized events. New adult members and juniors are entitled to 5 free lessons with pro-instructors. For the competitive members, the club has 2 teams, C1 and B1, playing in the STF Adult League and one team in the STF Junior League. The Annual Club Championship is also a challenging event for members. For social players, the club organizes monthly BBQs and special celebrations on Canada Day. The annual year-end potluck, with its variety of multicultural dishes, always helps the club to wrap up the season with good food and good fun. Iroquois Tennis Club always welcomes new members.
